Trekking to Ojo del Albino Glacier

We leave from your lodging to the east along Route 3. It is about 30 minutes in the vehicle until we reach kilometer 20, the point where we begin our hike.

We will cross peat bogs, streams, centenary forests of Lenga and Coihues and we will have the chance to see condors, foxes and beavers.

Arriving at Laguna Esmeralda we will take a break. Then we will continue on our way up to the Ojo del Albino Glacier.

Upon arrival, the glacier surprises us with an impressive spectacle of ice and mountains.

We put on our crampons and began our exploration of the glacier.

We arrive at the viewpoint of the valley where we will have lunch enjoying incomparable high altitude views.

The return is by the same trail to the parking lot where your transportation will be waiting for you.
