Blue Safari - Perito Moreno Glacier

The Blue Safari It is designed for those who, in addition to cruising past the Perito Moreno Glacier, They dream of getting close to the glacier!

The tour begins in El Calafate when the bus departs for the Los Glaciares National Park. Once we arrive at Puerto Bajo de las Sombras, just 7 km from the boardwalks, we’ll take a boat to cross Lake Rico, and after a 20-minute ride, we’ll disembark on the opposite shore.

Little by little We'll walk for 30 minutes always keeping an eye on the glacier's south face in case we're caught off guard by a thunderous avalanche. Once you're out on the ice, it'll be time for an unforgettable experience… We'll be able to fully enjoy their intense and varied shades of blue and white, as well as their whimsical shapes.

We'll have time to take plenty of photos, and then we'll return to the boarding location, accompanied at all times by an experienced guide. The total hike takes 1.30 hours The trail runs through natural terrain of sand and rocks, with some slopes and stairs. The 1.5-kilometer route follows the lake’s shoreline and winds through a lush forest with views of the glacier.

Finally We'll take the boat to enjoy the view from the water and, just a few meters away, the entire south face of the glacier, where you can see every detail of the marble-like ice wall.

Once you arrive at the port, if you have booked a transfer service, We'll take the bus to the boardwalks where we’ll have 2 hours to enjoy the incredible panoramic view. If you’ve made your own way there, you’re free to choose how long you’d like to spend on the walkways. You can also use this time to eat the packed lunch you’ll need to bring from El Calafate.

We'll arrive in El Calafate after traveling through the Patagonian steppe, our souls filled with the natural energy of this unique glacier. We can't wait to host you!

The Blue Safari takes place in a natural setting, so weather conditions and the characteristics of the glacier and its surroundings change daily. However, the tour will not be canceled as long as safety conditions permit. We look forward to seeing you!
