Discover the on a full-day excursion Torres del Paine National Park (Chile), considered one of the eighth wonders of the world. Located in the heart of Southern Patagonia, 300 km south of El Calafate, it is considered one of the most beautiful parks in the world due to its unique and striking landscape of mountains, glaciers, lakes, waterfalls, flora, and fauna.
Crossing the Patagonian steppe Traveling from north to south, we'll reach the Cancha Carrera border crossing (approximately 2.30 hs), from where we'll begin our journey the beautiful south of Chile until entering the Torres del Paine National Park which means "Blue" in the Tehuelche language, referring to the predominant color.
Once in the park, we’ll make several stops—some where we’ll get out of the vehicle and others where we won’t—to admire lakes and waterfalls, and we may even spot foxes and guanacos, and perhaps pumas, among other native animals.
On board our OVERLANDS 4×4 We will visit strategic locations, from which we will set out on hikes that will take us to the most important panoramic viewpoints natural attractions of the Park.
Leaving the Cerro Castillo border crossing, we’ll take the road toward Laguna Amarga, a scenic overlook of Las Torres del Paine. We’ll continue by vehicle, making stops at various overlooks such as Laguna de los Cisnes and Mirador Superior del Nordenskjold until we reach Puerto Pudeto, starting point that leads to the Salto Grande. Weather permitting, we'll walk along the shore of Lake Pehoe to the Lower Viewpoint of the Cuernos del Paine.
The walk is low technical difficulty and requires minimal physical exertion; it is done in the company of our hiking guide Accredited by CONAF Chile.
After this hike, the tour continues by vehicle to another lookout point, this time near the Lake Pehoe, where you'll enjoy one of the most famous views of the National Park, with the Cuernos del Paine and the Francés Valley in the background, framed by Lakes Pehoe and Nordenskjold; from there, you'll also be able to see Mount Paine Grande and the Admiral Nieto.
From this point on, we begin the return trip to El Calafate, arriving at the hotels at approximately 9:00 p.m.
The order of the stops may vary at the guide's discretion.
The arrival time in El Calafate will depend on border formalities.
