Puerto Almanza – Nature and Delights of the Beagle Channel

We'll leave Ushuaia via Route 3 until we reach our first stop in the Carbajal Valley, where we'll be able to see the peat bogs and enjoy a breathtaking view of the mountain range and the glaciers.

We continued along the same route until it intersected with Route J, then took a gravel road through a dense native forest.

Along the way, we’ll stop at the Laguna Victoria overlook to enjoy the moment and have something warm to drink. Then, we’ll stop near Paso Guaraní to see the famous “Árbol Bandera,” a distinctive tourist attraction and a provincial heritage site.

Back in the vehicle, we'll continue our journey to Puerto Almanza, the southernmost fishing port.

From there, we continued for about 15 km until we reached the small, charming village where almost the entire population makes a living from small-scale fishing, catching spider crabs and other seafood from the Canal.

They'll be waiting for us at a local tavern for lunch. We'll enjoy our meal in this unique setting, surrounded by nature, to recharge our batteries and reminisce about the highlights of the trip.

When we're done, we'll head back to Ushuaia.
