City Tour – Classic

We begin by exploring the La Misión neighborhood, where Anglican priests settled—a area known as Misión Baja. We then continued our tour to the CADIC roundabout, where the Southern Scientific Research Center is located, and turned onto Prefectura Naval Avenue (the coastal avenue), continuing along Perito Moreno Avenue, passing in front of the Paseo del Fuego Shopping Center, one of the city’s major shopping destinations. Further on, we arrive at the industrial park, which began operations in 1972 under Law 19640 and represents one of the province’s main sources of revenue. From there, we pass through the Rotonda del Indio, the entrance to the city of Ushuaia, and return via Héroes de Malvinas Street, making a stop at the La Colina Lookout, one of the city’s most breathtaking scenic viewpoints.

We continue our tour by walking up Alem Avenue until we reach the viewpoint at the Hotel Las Hayas, another important scenic spot that offers excellent views. We then head downhill to the Solier neighborhood, home to the Italian-Argentine community. We head down 12 de Octubre Street until we rejoin Prefectura Naval Avenue, which leads us to the Old Cemetery, where we’ll give a brief historical overview of the early settlers who are buried there.

Next, we arrive at San Martín Street, the city’s main avenue, where you’ll find most of the restaurants and shops. Then, we head to Deloqui Street, where we can see the houses of the city’s original settlers. We’ll continue to the roundabout near the Maritime Museum and the Presidio, and from there, to the End of the World Museum on Maipú Street, where the tour ends.
