Hiking in Isla Martillo Penguin Colony

After checking in at the office of the tourist pier (Av. Prefectura Naval Argentina 410) we will start our trip to Martillo Island through National Route No. 3.

On the way we will be able to appreciate the predominant vegetation; lenga and coihue forests, peat bogs and mountains.

We will take Complementary Route J to go deeper into the forest until we reach the area where we will embark for the real adventure to begin.

Once we arrive at the dock, we will take the semi-rigid zodiac that will take us to the island.

After sailing for 15 minutes we will arrive at Martillo Island where we will have 1 hour to walk among the Magellanic penguins and Papua penguins that live there, always accompanied by our guide.

At the end of the tour we will return to Ushuaia city, contemplating a warm sunset.
